Babylon in the Rearview Mirror

Jeremiah's prophecies concerning God's judgment of Babylon were not fulfilled when Babylon fell to Persia. This means that the prophecies concern events still yet to happen. How does this inform our reading of Revelation 17-18? (Jeremiah 50.1-10, August 11, 2013)
