By Sight and By Name

While the empty tomb is the first reason why we should believe in the resurrection of Jesus Christ, it is not the only reason nor the best reason. Mary Magdalene, the first eyewitness of the empty tomb, was convinced that the body had been stolen by grave robbers until she met the resurrected glorified Jesus. But it wasn’t until Jesus called her by name that her eyes were fully opened to see and believe. Praise the Lord that Jesus continues to call sinners by name so that we can hear His voice, follow Him, and find life abundant and everlasting. (John 20.11-18) March 17, 2024
