Is There Anything Distinctively Christian About Thanksgiving

Thanks, according to the dictionary, is a good feeling that I have when someone helps me. And being thankful is a universal virtue, good for all humans. But is there anything distinctively Christian about thanksgiving, any difference for a disciple of Christ? (Psalm 7, November 23,2014)
