Josiah: Responding to the Word of God

King Josiah was perhaps the most righteous king since King David, and he walked in the ways of David, sharing David’s love for the Law of the Lord. And it was because Josiah’s heart was responsive to the Word of God that God blessed him. Through the story of Josiah, we are reminded that to neglect the Word of the Lord brings self-destruction, and that we need to handle the Word properly in order for it to transform our lives.
