Superfluous or Essential?

By what right does the apostle Paul call the “sacred writings” the breath of God? Why does he think the Scriptures are profitable for teaching, correction, and training in righteousness? Paul does not invent the doctrine of the inspiration of the Bible. Instead, he captures what the people of God, including Jesus, have always believed about the Living Word of God.
