The Eternal King

The angel told Mary that the child in her womb would be given the throne of his father David and will reign over the house of Jacob forever. This is why the writer of Hebrews proclaims the Son upholds the universe by the word of His power and uses Psalm 45 as the source for proclaiming the Son as the Eternal King. But what does it mean to confess Jesus as the King of kings and Lord of lords, especially when we pray for His kingly rule in this broken world? (Hebrews 1.8-9) December 11, 2022.
