Water into Wine

Though Jesus performed many signs, John chose a few to include in his gospel so that we would believe that Jesus is the Son of God and the Christ. The first sign was Jesus turning water into wine at the wedding in Cana. This sign points to Jesus fulfilling the Old Testament prophecies of the coming Messiah, to Jesus bringing a new covenant of grace, to His return, and to what it means to call Him the Messiah.
