The Word Shines in the Darkness

What is Christmas all about? The apostle John answers that question by going back to the beginning, not just the beginning of Jesus’ life on earth, but back to the very beginning. In John’s introduction to the story of Jesus, we discover that Jesus is the eternal Word of God, the creator of all things, the one who has authority over all things, the giver of life, and the Light who shines in the darkness. What in the World Do We Do Now?

Christ calls us to both be disciples and to make disciples. A true disciple has his heart searched by the Word of God, believes that Jesus can release him from his sins, has become a Christian in all parts of his life, and has reached the point of no turning back. Such a Time as This

Esther found herself in a familiar situation: a situation she did not choose, a painful circumstance, where God seemed absent, and where she was powerless to do anything about it. Living as Exiles
